ABSTRACT
Tilmicosin was administered subcutaneously at a dose rate of 10 mg/kg. b.wt to determine its concentrations in blood as well as its kinetic behavior in healthy and experimentally Pstaerulla multocida infected lactating goats. Tilmicosin was detectable in plasma for 72 hours. The mean peak plasma concentrations (Cmax) in healthy and experimentally Pstaerulla multocida infected lactating goats were 1.07 ± 0.052 μg/ml , and 0.92 ± 0.016 μg/ml achieved at a maximum times (Tmax) of 1.91 ± 0.19 hour and 1.65± 0.18 hour, respectively. Tilmicosin was slowly eliminated from plasma indicated by its half-
life (T0.5el) of 28.02 ± 4.025 hours and 26.55 ± 2.39 hours, respectively.
