Ceftriaxone is the most commonly used drug for antibiotic prophylaxis to prevent surgical site infections. Adverse drug reactions to ceftriaxone are rarely encountered in clinical practice. Here we present a case who developed psychotic symptoms due to the administration of ceftriaxone. Antibiotics were stopped and other supportive therapy was given. After withdrawal patient had less hallucinations, and was stable till discharge. ADRs should be reported and should be given clinical importance for the patient safety.
