GEOGRAPHICAL RANGE AND PHYTOCENOLOGY OF CORNELIAN CHERRY (CORMUS MAS L.) IN AZERBAIJAN

ABSTRACT
The article informs about the cornelian cherry, its growing altitude depending on phytosenosyses of growing in the different regions of Azerbaijan (Balakan, Zagatala, Gakh, Sheki, Oguz) and determination of various phytosenosyses assosiated with the names of those regions. Cornelian cherry forests of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus, as well as widely spread in the country have been determined. It has been determined that the cornelian cherry is widespread in both wild and cultivated forms in Greater Caucasus and Lesser Caucasus forests.
