SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION OF SOME 2-PHENYL OXAZOLINE DERIVATIVES

ABSTRACT
A series of oxazolone derivatives were synthesized by using Erlenmeyer-plochl azalactone synthesis. Molecules were synthesized from substituted benzaldehyde with hippuric acid in presence of acetic anhydride and anhydrous sodium acetate. Reacting the various oxazolone derivatives with isoniazid in presence of methanol yields various Schiff’s bases of oxazoline derivatives .The entire synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, NMR and MASS Spectroscopy.
