THE EFFECT OF METHANOL EXTRACT OF TALINUM TRIANGULARE ON SOME SELECTED HEMATOLOGICAL AND KIDNEY PARAMETERS OF EXPERIMENTAL RATS

ABSTRACT

This study investigated the effect of methanol extract of Talinum triangulare plant on the blood and kidney of experimental albino rats within a period of two weeks of treatment with (100, 200 and 400mg/kg body weights of the extract). Sixteen wistar albino rats weighing between 117- 200g were randomly divided into four groups. The control group received normal saline while the three other groups received the extract at varied dose levels of (100, 200 and 400mg/kg body weight).
