SEASONAL VARIEATION IN PHYSICO-CHEMICAL PARAMETERS OF ITIKYAL LAKE, ADILABAD DISTRICT, T.G, INDIA.

ABSTRACT

Itikyal lake is one of the most important lake of Adilabad district, Telangana state. Low temparature was recorded in January month of winter season. This district is known for tribal people. The lake water used for drinking, domestic, irrigation and daily activities. In rainy season peoples suffering from amebiosis, kalara and other water born diseases. Physico-chemical characteristics of water sample were analyzed for 12 months. Water samples were collected from three different sites of the lake in early morning hours only. During the investigation period the physic- chemical parameters of the lake water is in permissible limits according to the APHA (2005) stranded . The lake receives much of the drainage waste while passing throw the Itikyal village drainage, agricultural runoff & Domestic product common to the lake water. Now a days formers cultivate economic importence crops using high toxic nature of pesticides and agro fertilizers for high yield of crops. These are the main cause of pollution to the lakes. So there is a need of an action plan for conservation of lakes future generation
