STUDY OF ETIOPATHOGENESIS OF AMAVATA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO HRIDAVIKRITI

ABSTRACT
Amavata is crippling prolonged and relapsing type of disease. Defined
as the disease, where Vata is vitiated along with ‘Ama’ hence named as
Amavata. In Ayurveda initially Acharya taken Amavata as symptom
then further explained under the topics of vata vyadhi, Avarana of Ama
etc. But Madhavakara explained etiopathogenesis of Amavata
separately giving importance to it as individual disease entity.
Nowadays; Amavata has become very common and further going on
progression of Amavata gives rise to harmful complications such as
Hridavikriti which needs immediate treatment. In present era people
are becoming more victims to various causative factors which leads to
various chronic diseases, deeply seated pathogen affected diseases
likewise, Amavata and its complications occurs during progression of
vyadhi. Sixty cases of Amavata volunteers were clinically studied with
help of detail material and methods like detail case paper, pathological investigations etc.
then after collected all research data analysed it thoroughly with help of statistics-This part
deals with the total outcome of the clinical study. Concluding; present era etiological factors
and chronicity of disease lead to Hridagraha, Hridshula etc. shows Hridvikrit involvement
during sufferings of Amavata Vyadhi continuously for 4-5 years or more than that.
