ABSTRACT
The clinical course of Human Immuno Deficiency Virus (HIV) disease
and pattern of opportunistic infections varies from patient to patient
and from country to country. The present study was undertaken to
characterize the various opportunistic pathogens. Which are
responsible for high morbidity and mortality in 25 HIV seropositive
patients and a total number of 100 biosamples were collected from
ART centre in Government Hospital, Perambalur District, during the
period from March 2015 to July 2015. Intensive and effective health
education programmes among HIV patients for taking control or
preventive measures against the opportunistic bacterial and fungal
infections.
