ABSTRACT
Volatile substance abuse refers to the deliberate inhalation of volatile solvents, commonly found in adhesives, paint thinners and removers, dry cleaning fluids, glues, type writer correction fluids etc for the purpose of intoxication. It is a rapidly growing cause of concern in adolescent and young population because of the rapid high caused by them and easy availability. Since there are no definitive tests available routinely, diagnosis is also difficult. We report here a case of an adolescent with an unusual route of abuse apart from the usual ways.
