ABSTRACT
The study was undertaken to evaluate the effect of herbal extracts; UltraSil, UltraK and PGRs like GABA (Gamma amino butyric acid), Putrescine and biotonic on carbohydrate metabolism of the oil yielding legume soybean (Glycine max) under waterlogging stress. Pretreatment of above herbal extracts and PGRs were given 20 DAP and 45 days old seedlings of soybean were subjected to waterlogging stress for 6 days, regularly watered plants served as normal irrigated. The foliar application of 0.3% UltraSil, 0.2% UltraK, 0.1% GABA, Putrescine and Biotonic were applied to both normal and waterlogged
plants. The results indicates that UltraK, GABA, Putrescine, and Biotonic plays important role in allivation of waterlogging stress by improving accumulation of photosynthetic products carbohydrates.
