ABSTRACT
The new protocol has been developed for the synthesis of 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones using Bismuth(III)bromide as a catalyst, using two component intermolecular one pot condensation of anthranilamide with various aryl aldehydes. The reaction proceeded in short period of time with high yields using low toxicity bismuth compound.
Keywords: Bismuth (III) bromide (BiBr3), 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones (2,3-DHQs), anthranilamide and aryl aldehydes.
