CIPROFLOXACIN INDUCED TOXIC EPIDERMAL NECROLYSIS---A CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT
Ciprofloxacin is one of the most commonly used antibacterial agents with relatively few side effects. Serious adverse reactions reported with ciprofloxacin are rare with an incidence of 0.6%. Toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) is a rare and life threatning adverse event associated with ciprofloxacin. We report a fatal case of 52 year old female treated with ciprofloxacin for urinary tract infection reported with TEN.
