SYNTHESIS AND BIOLOGICAL EVALUATION OF SOME NOVEL PYRIDAZINE BASED 1, 3, 4- OXADIAZOLES AS POTENTIAL ANTIMICROBIAL AGENTS

ABSTRACT
Various 3-(5-methyl substituted sulfanyl-[1,3,4]oxadiazole-2-yl)-
pyridazine derivatives (5a-e) have been synthesized from 5-pyridazine-
3-yl-3H-[1,3,4]oxadiazole-2-thione (4) by suing pyridazine-3-
carboxylic acid (1) as starting material. The structures of these
compounds have been established by IR, 1H-NMR and Mass spectral
data analysis. The newly synthesized compounds were screened for their ability towards
antibacterial, antifungal and nematicidal activities.
