ABSTRACT
In the present study the antibacterial activity of silver nanoparticles synthesized from Lactobacillus sp., and fruit peel extracts of Citrus limon, Citrus sinensis, Punica granatum were analysed against the wound isolates of E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The synthesized silver nanoparticles were characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy. All experiments were done in triplicate. The silver nanoparticles of Lactobacillus sp., and fruit peel extracts of Citrus limon, Citrus sinensis, Punica granatum showed the zone of inhibition. They also possess very good antibacterial activity which makes them a potent source of antibacterial agent.
Keywords: Silver nanoparticles, Lactobacillus sp., fruit peel extracts and antibacterial activity.
