A PERVASIVE ANNOTATION ON INDIAN TRADITIONAL PLANT HAVING ANTIMICROBIAL EFFICACY

ABSTRACT
Our ability to effectively treat diseases is dependent on the development of new pharmaceuticals nature has been a source of various medicinal agents for thousand of year & an impressive number of modern drugs have been isolated from natural sources, many based on their use in traditional medicine. Herbal phytochemical is the oldest form of healthcare known to mankind. The different plant part such as seed, fruits, root, bark, stem, leaf & even the complete plant were extracted using different organic solvent such as ethanol, methanol, chloroform, acetone, ethyl acetate, petroleum ether etc. Extract of these plant were used to test their antimicrobial activity against gram positive, gram negative bacteria & fungi. This review provided data of few traditional herbal plant of India for antimicrobial activity and would open up the scope for further analysis of herbal plant extract to
develop effective antimicrobial drugs.
