Abstract

ONE-STEP SYNTHESIS AND BIOACTIVITY OF N-PHOSPHORAMIDOPHOSPHONATES

ABSTRACT

The one-step synthesis was accomplished for the preparation ofNPhosphoramidophosphonates by reaction of phosphoramidate (1) with aldehydes (2a-j) and dialkyl phosphites in the presence of tetramethyl guanidine (TMG). The TMG not only catalysis the reaction but also helps to complete the reaction in lesser time. The structures were established by elemental analysis, IR, 1H, 13C and 31P NMR and mass spectral data. They exhibited moderate antimicrobial activity.
