ABSTRACT
The aim of our study was to find if there is any variation in the basic physiological and anthropometric parameters between the adult male population of rural and urban region of the district of Bankura. Our objectives were to find if there is any variation in the Body Mass Index (BMI), pulse rate, respiratory rate, systolic & diastolic blood pressure between the urban and rural adult male population of the district of Bankura. Study of physiological and anthropometric variations between populations of same sex and age group of different geographical areas have clinical and experimental significance for genome targeted therapeutic approach and for development of genome based drugs i.e., for pharmacogenomics.
