ABSTRACT
The present study validates the use of Polyherbal drugs for the curative treatment of asthma. Scientific literature showed that the present available allopathic therapy for the treatment of asthma showed serious adverse reactions. Hence the use of Polyherbal drugs is todays need to treat asthma. In present study formulation consist four different herbal plants viz Leaves of Passiflora incarnata, roots of Picrorhiza kurroa, leaves of Adhatoda vasica, leaves of Ocimum sanctum. The different pharmacological screening models have been used to evaluate the formulation. The formulation has been administered in different doses i.e. 500, 1000, 1500 mg/kg per oral route in laboratory animals and
scientific procedures reported in screening models have been adopted. The result revealed that the Polyherbal formulation showed significant anti-asthmatic activity in dose of 1500 mg/kg compared to other doses.
