ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to standardize the protocol for regeneration of rose scented geranium (Pelargonium graveolens L. Her. ex Ait: syn P. roseum Willd.). Shoot tip and nodal explants were inoculated on MS (Murashige and Skoog) medium supplemented with different combination of plant growth regulator like GA3 (Giberellic acid) and Ads (Adenine sulphate). Multiple shoots were induced in media containing BAP, IAA and coconut water. Numerous shoots were observed. These multiple shoots subjected to rooting medium with different concentrations of IBA (4.9 μM, 7.36 μM and 9.8 μM). The highest concentration (9.8 μM) showed better response. The in vitro
raised plants were transferred to hardening. This protocol can be used for large scale production of scented geranium.
