“BIOACCUMULATION OF HEAVY METALS IN FRESHWATER FISHES FROM AURANGABAD DISTRICT, MAHARASHTRA"

ABSTRACT

The concentration of heavy metals like copper, chromium and nickel in the tissues of Tilapia mossambica were determined by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (Thermo fisher - model AA-303). The concentration of heavy metals accumulated in freshwater fish Tilapia might be due to the increase in agricultural influx and some anthropogenic activities.
