ABSTRACT
The present study was designed to achieve production of large quantities of the Lantana camara which belong to verbenacea family by using nodal as an explant in plant tissue culture technique. Explant was selected and culture on MS medium supplement with different concentration and combination of rooting and shooting plant hormones. Another objective of this study to evaluate phytochemical screening on leaves which revealed the presence of phytochemical constitutes such as tannin, saponin, steroid, alkaloid, phenols etc. with the various extraction solvents like methanol, ethanol and distill water of leaves of Lantana camara.
Keywords: Nodal, Micropropagation, Phytochemical, plant hormones & steroids, Lantana camara.
