The aim of our study was to study the effect of Granisetron pre-treatment for alleviating pain on Propofol intravenous injection and to observe side effects and complication of drug if any. Materials and Methods: Sixty women, aged 18-50 years, ASA grade I & II scheduled for planned Diagnostic and Operative Laparoscopic surgery under G.A. were randomly assigned to one of the two groups. Control (group N) Patients received 2ml of Normal saline (0.9%) IV while the Granisetron group (group G) received 2ml of Granisetron (1mg/ml) IV, and were accompanied by manual venous occlusion for 1 min. Then the initial 25% of total calculated induction dose of Propofol (2mg/kg) IV was given over 10 sec and Patient was asked to rate any sensation of pain while injecting the Propofol. The patient (blinded) was asked to score the pain on injection of Propofol with a four-point scale; 0= no pain, 1= mild pain, 2= moderate pain, 3= severe pain. Results: Data were analysed with student t test & chi squire test. Twenty five (41.66%) patients complained of pain in the group N as compared with eight (13.33%) in the group G. Pain was reduced significantly in the Granisetron group (P
