ROLE OF PHARMACIST IN THE MANAGEMENT AND TREATMENT OF BREAST CANCER: A CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT
Breast cancer is one of the major problems that India is facing and it also a major concern around the globe. It is the second most common disease diagnosed in India. Most of the women are prone to breast cancer due to several reasons mostly due to ignorance or shy or due to lack of proper awareness. Here in this case study 100 cases were studied and identified the reasons for greater occurrence of breast cancer in patients as the age increases in consideration of both menopausal as well as post menopausal women, we also discussed the factors causing breast cancer, effectiveness of 5-Florouracil, Adreamycin, Cyclophosphamide (FAC) combination therapy, justifying the patient compliance during chemotherapy, a view on post-menopausal women chances of occurrence of cancer in comparison with pre-menopausal women, counseling, prevention and father awareness towards the adverse effects of chemotherapy.
