ABSTRACT
Heterocyclic compounds are those cyclic compounds whose ring
contain besides carbon, one or more atoms of other elements.
Benzimidazoles are regarded as a promising class of bioactive
heterocyclic compounds that exhibit a range of biological activities
like anti-microbial, anti-viral, anti-diabetic, anticancer activity.In the
present study benzimidazole derivatives are synthesized by using Ophenylene
diamine and aminoacids like Glycine,Tyrosine and
Cysteine. The synthesized compounds structures are determined by
using IR and Mass spectra. The benzimidazole derivatives have been
evaluated for anti-microbial and anthelminthic activities.
Keywords: Benzimidazole, O-Phenylene diamine, Glycine, Tyrosine, Cysteine and Anti microbial activity.
