ABSTRACT
A new, rapid, reliable and sensitive RP-HPLC method was developed for the simultaneous estimation of Carvedilol (CAR) and Ivabradine (IVA). The column used was Hypersil ODS C18 in isocratic mode, with mobile phase containing Acetonitrile: Phosphate Buffer pH 3 adjusted with o-Phosphoric acid (75:25) was used and injection volume of 20μL, with a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. and effluents were monitored at 275 nm. The retention time for Carvedilol and Ivabradine was found to be 12.14 min and 8.40 min, respectively. The linearity of developed method was achieved in the range of 150-400 μg/ml for Carvedilol and 50-300 μg/ml for Ivabradine. The method was selective for the estimation of both the drugs. The UV detector was used as a tool for
peak identification. The method was validated as per the ICH guidelines with respect to linearity, detection and quantitation limits, accuracy, precision, specificity, and robustness.
