ABSTRACT Ayurveda has been evolved for the maintenance of health by achieving homeostasis of Doshas, Dhatu and Mala. In fact Ayurveda gives precedence to Dhatusamya over medical treatment. It is a popular misconception that Ayurveda is merely a medical science dealing with the treatment of sick but actually as name suggests term Ayurveda is composed of two words namely ‘Ayu’ and ‘Veda’ i.e. science of life. Ayurveda achieves the goal of complete health by the simple device of raising the individual immunity to fight diseases. Ayurveda stands through Swasthasya Swasthya Rakshanam that is healthy person should maintain the health and this maintained through Dincharya, Ritucharya, Sadvritta and Panchkarma etc.Panchakarma (Vaman, Virechan, Basti, Shirovirechan and Raktmokshan) is a critical and costlier process,so the Acharyas have suggested some beneficial procedures i.e Abhyang , Udvartana, Gandoosh, Kaval, Nasya in daily regimen to maintain good health. Keywords: Abhyang ,Dincharya, Gandoosh, Kaval, Nasya , Ritucharya, Udvartana. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
