Abstract

AN ECOFRIENDLY SPECTROSCOPIC METHOD FOR ESTIMATION OF ETRAVERINE BY USING HYDROTROPIC AGENTS

ABSTRACT

Hydrotropy refers to the ability of a concentrated solution of a chemical compound to increase the aqueous solubility of another compound.Etraverine belongs to anti-HIV drug was estimated by using hydropic agents like citric acid, sodium salicylate and sodium benzoate by using UV-Visible spectrophotometer. The method was validated for Linearity, Accuracy (Recovery), Precision, Intermediate Precision or Ruggedness, Specificity and Assay. The maximum absorbance of Etravirine in hydrotropic agent was found at 259, 277,245nm.The developed method was simple, accurate, sensitive and precise and found to be within prescribed limits.
