MALATHION INDUCED TOXICITY IN VITAL ORGANS.

ABSTRACT
Malathion is an organophosphate is a toxic pesticide can cause toxicity in living organism like insects, fishes, rats, frog. It is less toxic to humans and other mammals because some enzymes like ali-esterases present in the sera and livers of mammals and man can hydrolyze malathion and converts into inactive form. Malathion enters environment directly or indirectly causing harm to target and non target organism. It is causing adverse health effects ,as it can enter in our food chain and resulting to untowards effects hence it is a major concern to worry about. Various changes are observed in
histopathological and ultra structure tests. Different concentrations of malathion for different exposure time causes different effects in the organism like mortality, difference in protein content in various parts, delayed in larval development, vitellogenesis, reduced size of various visceral organs, up and down regulation of various enzymes like testicular enzymes in rats, alkaline phosphate, FSH, LH, estradiol-17β, estrone and proteins and metabolic dysfunction. Some pesticides involved in metabolic dysfunction are organophosphates, carbamate, organochlorine etc.
