Abstract

WAY OF CORRECTION OF ENDOTHELIAL DYSFUNCTION IN PATIENTS WITH PSORIASIS DURING CYTOSTATIC THERAPY

Platonova Anna Nikolaevna*, Shtoda Yulia Maksimovna, Bakulev Andrey Leonidovich

ABSTRACT

Objectives: To estimate the effect of sulodexide on the functional condition of the vascular endothelium in patients with psoriasis receiving cytostatic therapy. Material and methods: The study included 140 patients with psoriasis. All subjects were divided into 2 groups according to the receiving therapy: I group (89 patients) received only cytostatic therapy, patients from group II (51 person) in addition to treatment got sulodexide. Laboratory methods include determination of the nitric oxide (NO) and endothelin-1 (Et-1) levels in serum. Results: Reduction of NO and increased concentration of Et-1 in blood serum showed all patients with psoriasis prior therapy. Significant improvement of pathological process in patients from group I was mentioned after cytostatic therapy (total dose of methotrexate 100 mg) but tendency towards normalization of laboratory parameters was not observed. Patients who received methotrexate (total dose 40 mg) in combination with sulodexide (group II) showed improvement or reduction of process on the skin and normalized figures of endothelial dysfunction after therapy. Conclusions: Inclusion of sulodexide in complex therapy of patients with psoriasis promotes more rapid resolution of pathological process and normalizes endothelial dysfunction.

Keywords: psoriasis, endothelial dysfunction, methotrexate, sulodexide, therapy.
