SPECTRO-CHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER TAKEN FROM FOUR AREAS (BALAPUR, JEDIMETLA, PATANCHERU AND TARNAKA) OF HYDERABAD

ABSTRACT

The ground water quality of four areas (Balapur, Jeedimetla, Patancheru and Tarnaka) of Hyderabad is determined by various quality parameters including PH, Electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), total hardness (TH), content of Ca2+, Mg2+, Cd2+, Cl-, SO42-, Fe, BOD, COD and NO3- concentration present in ground water. All parameter studies were compared with ICMR standards of water quality. Classification of water samples was done on the basis of TDS and TH.
