Abstract

PHYSICO-CHEMICAL ASSESSMENT OF GROUNDWATER QUALITY OF NIMNA TERNA PROJECT OF MAKNI, DIST. OSMANABAD (M.S).

ABSTRACT

Groundwater is required for continuity of life and sustainability of ecosystem. Hence, this study aimed at assessing the groundwater quality in Makni with respect to drinking and irrigation uses. The parameters like pH, TDS, TH, Turbidity, Iron, fluoride, chloride, Sodium, Magnesium, Potassium, Sulphate and Nitrate, Calcium etc. were determined. The results compare with the ISI and WHO. The data revealed that the ground water of some villages is fit for drinking and irrigation.
