ORAL OSMOTIC SYSTEMS IN CONTROLLED RELEASE TECHNOLOGY

ABSTRACT

Controlled drug delivery system is popular and for better patient compliance. Many systems and basic principles of release of drug from dosage form are modified to get the controlled drug delivery system. Present study illustrates a drug delivery system based on the principle of osmosis. The principle of osmosis presents a strong candidature for controlled delivery with zero order release pattern. The study describes application of osmotic pump pharmaceutical products.
