Abstract

PRELIMINARY STUDIES ON ACTIVITY OF OCIMUM SANCTUM, AZARDIRACHTA INDICA, ANNONA SQUAMOSA, TRIBULUS TERRESTRIS AND EUCALYPTUS GLOBULES AGAINST NEISSERIA GONORRHOEAE

ABSTRACT

The aim of the current study were to screen five plants Ocimum sanctum, Azardirachta indica, Annona squamosa,Tribulus terrestris and Eucalyptus globules for activity against Neisseria gonorrhoeae by disc diffusion method, extracts of these Five plants were screened for activity against N.gonorrhoeae. In our study, Aqueous extract of the leaves of Eucalyptus globules showed a very high percentage of inhibition.
