ABSTRACT
Humans going to space need to be very careful about diseases. Medicines are used to treat illnesses, but they can be unstable in space. This means they might not work as well or might even become harmful. To solve this problem, we need a new field called Astropharmacy. Pharmacists who specialize in space medicine would develop and manage medicines that are stable in space, effective in treating space-related illnesses, and personalized for each astronaut. Here are some key challenges and solutions: Space Sickness: Astronauts can experience motion sickness, headaches, and other health issues due to the microgravity environment. Radiation Exposure: Space radiation can damage cells and increase the risk of cancer and other diseases. Medication Instability: Medicines can degrade faster in space due to factors like radiation and temperature fluctuations. By understanding the unique challenges of space travel and developinginnovative solutions, pharmacists can play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of future space explorers.
