ABSTRACT

One kind of drug delivery method that gets medicine into the bloodstream through the skin is a transdermal patch. Herbal transdermal patches are formulated by choosing suitable plants with antibacterial qualities and combining them into a patch. Lagerstroemia Parviflora herbal extract was used into the formulation of the transdermal patches. The transdermal patches are evaluated using a variety of tests. Two traditional methods of treating microbiological diseases are offered by the allopathic healthcare system. Therefore, it would be wiser to choose a safe, tested, and effective Ayurvedic herbal therapy composition. Physical and chemical characteristics, including thickness, folding durability, physical appearance, weight homogeneity, moisture content, drug content, flatness, moisture absorption, pH, and in vitro drug release and stability studies, were taken into consideration while evaluating the patches. The formulation] does not irritate human volunteers' skin, according to the results of the skin irritation research. All things considered, the current study offers a fresh method for incorporating transdermal medication delivery methods into the creation of herbal treatments. Lagerstroemia Parviflora herbal extract was used into the formulation of the transdermal patches. The transdermal patches are evaluated using a variety of tests.

Keywords: Herbal transdermal patch, Extract of Lagerstroemia Parviflora.
