EVALUTION OF PRESCRIBING PATTERN ANALYSIS IN ISCHEMIC AND HEMORRHAGIC STROKE

ABSTRACT
Stroke is a major public health challenge not only for neuropharmacology but the society in general. In 2015, stroke was the second most frequent cause of death after coronary artery disease however its decreasing nowadays. About half of the people who have had a stroke live less than a year than others. overall, two thirds of strokes occurred in those over 65 years old. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the prescribing pattern and to assess the rationalization of drugs used and identify the specific drugs prescribed for stroke by observing the management of stroke patients carefully. And to determine and analysis the patient associated with risk factors observed due to life style. And other objective of this study includes to identify most commonly used drugs, to analysis the pattern in patients with co morbidities and assess the social habits of the patients, gender prevalence, dose & frequency according to WHO DDD indications, anddetermine the appropriateness of specific drugs prescribed for both strokes.
