ABSTRACT
In view of the wide range of Pharmacological activities and various synthetic ways associated with Schiff’s Bases of Benzothiazole derivatives and in continuation of our work to develop simple and expeditious procedures for the synthesis of novel Schiff’s bases, we wish to report a highly efficient procedure for the synthesis of novel Schiff’s containing Benzothiazole under suitable conventional method by Cyclization and Schiff’s base reaction. In order to determine these drugs with good pharmacological activity and less side effects required. Therefore, the present investigation comprises synthesis of some novel Schiff’s Bases containing Bezothiazole moiety, and to evaluate their anthelmintic activity by using Indian earth warms. From the resulting data, compounds 4c, 4d, 4f, 4g and 4h having maximum activity and compounds 4a, 4b and 4e showed moderate activity. All the synthesizing compounds structures are confirmed by their spectral characterization’s such as FT-IR, 1HNMR and MASS spectroscopic analysis.
Keywords: Benzothiazole, thiophen-2-carbaldehyde, Anthelmintic activity, Albendazole.
