ABSTRACT
Climate change is one of the most significant global challenges of the21st century, with profound implications for human health. As globaltemperatures rise, extreme weather events become more frequent andsevere, ecosystems are disrupted, and the distribution of infectiousdiseases shifts. This article assesses the health impacts of climatechange, highlighting emerging research that elucidates its multifacetedeffects on physical and mental health. It explores the relationshipsbetween climate change and health outcomes, including respiratorydiseases, vector-borne diseases, food and water security, and mentalhealth issues. Moreover, it discusses the importance ofinterdisciplinary approaches to mitigation and adaptation strategies thatcan help to safeguard public health in an era of climate change. The findings underscore theurgent need for global action and health systems strengthening to address the health impactsof climate change effectively.
