ABSTRACT

Yuthika - Jasminum auriculatum vahl is commonly known as Juhi.which is Oleaeace Family, Ambiguity in geographical distribution,environmental conditions, morphological similarities, familiar names,improper preharvesting and post-harvesting methods pose seriousthreat to quality of formulation may affect medicinal efficacy ofYuthika. In this review article we explore Samhita Based Yuthika usesand Importance for our healthy lifestyle. Herbal products are widelyused as curing agent, and bioactive compounds are considered safe forconsumption due to presence of phytochemicals. WHO estimated thatabout 80% of people worldwide depends on herbal medicines for someaspect of their primitive healthcare. Due to increased demand of herbalproducts utilization, it is necessary to practice quality control aspectsof herb as many times substitute is used for preparation of drug. Anoverall study of the phytochemical constituents of plant extracts is mandatory to assure itsauthenticity for pharmacological and clinical research studies.
