ABSTRACT
Introduction: Composite resin have become an essential part ofrestorative procedure. The wear resistance of composite resins hasimproved which enables it use in posterior restoration. Cuspaldeflection is a useful way to evaluate the polymerization shrinkagestress of composite. Aim and Objective: The purpose of this study isto the evaluate the effect of high viscosity bulk fill composite resinswith different placement techniques on cuspal deflection. Materialsand Methodology: Thirty extracted maxillary premolars werecollected. Class II mesial-occlusal-distal (MOD) cavity preparationwill be done on all collected samples. Standardized cavity will beprepared using a hand piece (high speed). The samples are then dividedinto following groups based on the placement technique: A1 -BULKFILL, A2- OBLIQUE INCREMENTAL TECHNIQUE, A3-HORIZONTAL PLACEMENT TECHNIQU The etching, bonding andcomposite placement procedure is carried out. The cuspal deflectionwill be measured using SUBMICRON DIGIMATIC MICROMETRE. Statistical analysis:One- way ANOVA test followed by Tukey's post hoc analysis will be used. The level ofsignificance [P-value] will be set at Pdifferent placement techniques shows least cuspal deflection in Horizontal technique, followed by bulk technique and oblique technique.
