ABSTRACT

The human foot is a vital organ and is subjected to extreme weatherconditions and friction. Medical foot care examines the general healthof the feet as well as the identification and management of a range offoot issues. Gels are semi-solid preparations that have a calming effecton the skin. They are made of single-phase liquid bases gelled by anappropriate gelling agent The aim of the study is to formulate herbalfoot care gel, design it and evaluate its various physicochemicalparameters. Plants are readily available, and their efficacy providesmanufacturers with advantages that are both cost-effective andminimally or never have adverse effects. To treat active bacterial footinfections, a mixture of Ficus auriculata, aloe vera, and Azadirachtaindica was used in the formulation of the foot care gel. The agar welldiffusion method was used to investigate the antimicrobialeffectiveness of foot care gel containing herbal extracts. Zone of inhibition was used to assessthe effectiveness against Staphylococcus aureus. It was discovered that the foot care gelformulation exhibited a comparable level of effectiveness against specific diseases. The studywas relevant because it addressed the increasing demand from consumers for cosmetictreatments containing natural and biologically active components.

Keywords: Foot care gel; Fig Leaves; Neem Leaves; Aloe vera; Anti- microbial activity; Physiochemical parameters; Zone of inhibition.
