ABSTRACT
With a long global history, herbal medicine—which uses derivatives of medicinal plants—is important for treating a wide range of illnesses. Combinations of herbal medications frequently show synergistic therapeutic effects when compared to dosages of individual constituents. By examining the effects and pharmacological activity mechanisms of medicinal plants, proteomic techniques provide light on their physiology. The Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP) assay is a useful method for evaluating antioxidant activity. It measures the antioxidant compounds' capacity to reduce iron ions by changing the color of the chemical complex. For the prevention and treatment of disease, a strong immune system is essential. Solanum lycopersicum Linn is known for its bioactive compounds, which have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anticancer effects. This research focuses on Solanum lycopersicum Linn's ethanolic and ethyl acetateextractions and their possible immunomodulatory properties, which are crucial for comprehending health advantages, illness prevention, and therapeutic uses. Furthermore, the study uses the FRAP assay to examine the antioxidant potential of these extracts, offering insights into possible uses in a range of industries. Gathering fresh Solanum lycopersicum Linn leaves, authentication, extraction with ethanol and ethyl acetate solvents, and FRAP assay evaluation of antioxidant activity are all steps in the methodology. Procedures involving PMNs, phagocytic index determination, and Candida albicans culture are used to assess immunomodulatory activities. HPLC phytochemical analysis investigates the extracts' ingredients in more detail. Findings about the immunomodulatory and antioxidant properties of Solanum lycopersicum Linn extracts will help to clarify the health advantages of the plant and provide information for future therapeutic uses.
