Abstract

UNLOCKING THE POTENTIAL OF OZEMPIC (SEMAGLUTIDE) IN OBESITY MANAGEMENT: A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW

ABSTRACT

Purpose: This review explores the potential of Ozempic (Semaglutide) as a transformative tool in managing obesity, addressing both its significant health and economic burdens. Methods: We conducted a thorough search of the Cochrane Library, Scopus, ClinicalTrials.gov, and Medline databases through. This review includes the scientific studies that analyse take a view on Ozempic and its various applications, complications and compares it effectiveness with other anti-obesity drugs. Results: Obesity presents a significant public health and economic burden, impacting various aspects of health. This review highlights Ozempic's promising potential for weight loss and glycaemic control, supported by clinical evidence. Emphasizing the importance of sustainability, addressing regain, and individual suitability for Ozempic therapy, healthcare professionals play a keyrole. Ozempic demonstrates superior efficacy compared to other anti-obesity drugs. Further research, including long-term studies, is crucial, and ongoing efforts explore Ozempic's potential in reducing cardiovascular risk and developing innovative therapies, holding promise for enhanced obesity management. Conclusion: Ozempic emerges as a promising strategy for managing obesity and its related health issues, addressing weight control and glycaemic management. Continued research efforts hold the potential to significantly impact obesity and related metabolic diseases, improving patient health and the sustainability of healthcare systems.
