Abstract

PRELIMINARY PHYTOCHEMICAL STUDIES ON DIFFERENT EXTRACT OF VITEX TRIFOLIA LINN.

ABSTRACT

Vitex trifolia Linn. is a medicinal plant. The preliminary phytochemical screening of various extracts of leaf revealed the presence of various phytoconstituents like Carbohydrates, Alkaloids, Starch and Amino acid, Glycosides, Protein, Saponin, Flavonoid, Steroid, Phenols and Tannins. Which are used for curing of various human diseases anticancer, antimicrobial, antidiabetic, antidiuretic and anti-inflammation activities and also play an important role in healing.
