AN IN-SITU REVIEW ON EPIDEMIOLOGY, MANAGEMENT AND ECONOMIC BURDEN OF ENDOMETRIOSIS

ABSTRACT
Endometriosis is a chronic disorder that affects around 10% of womenglobally. It is characterized by the growth of endometrial tissue outsidethe uterus. The incidence of this condition worldwide clinicalmanagement approaches, and its financial effects are examined in thisreview. The treatment usually consists of surgical procedures and thehormonal treatments to reduces the pain and increase the chances ofconception. The globally, both direct medical costs from missedproductivity account for a significant portion of the economic burden.The reduction of the endometriosis clinical and financial burden can beachieved through early detection and customized or personalizedtreatment, the continuous research is needed for efficient managementstrategies on a worldwide.
