Abstract

SINGLE DRUG THERAPY IN NETRAROGAS

ABSTRACT

Netra rogas or eye diseases are common health concern that can affectindividuals of all ages. The treatment of these conditions involves theuse of single drug therapy and also compound drugs. The nonavailability of reliable standardized drugs, high cost and difficulty inidentity of ingredients used are a few major problems encountered inthe use of compound drugs. So there is a need to emphasize on thesingle drugs mentioned in classical texts. This study is an attempt tolist out various single drugs mentioned in Brihat Trayees,Bhavprakash, Sharangdhar samhita, yogratnakar and Chakradutta inthe treatment of netrarogas.

Keywords: The treatment of these conditions involves the use of single drug therapy and also compound drugs.
