ABSTRACT

Siddha medicine is one of the traditional medicines in India, formulated by 18 Siddhars. Panchapootham (Five elements), Muththaathukkal (Three humours) and Aru suvai (six tastes) are the fundamental principles in Siddha system. Siddhars taught preventive and curative methods for the diseases through the roof of Vadham, Vaidhyam and Yogam. Siddha system of medicine is a science which gives ailments to body and mind.
