ABSTRACT
Amlapitta, recognized as acid dyspepsia or acid reflux in contemporary medicine, is a prevalent digestive disorder addressed in Ayurveda. This article explores the multifaceted understanding of Amlapitta through the integration of Gunagatha (pharmacological properties), Dravya Gata Siddhanta (Material composition), and Dravyaguna (properties of medicinal substances) analyses. By delving into these perspectives, the etiology, pathogenesis, and management strategies for Amlapitta are comprehensively elucidated. This study synthesizes insights from classical Ayurvedic texts and contemporary research to provide a holistic understanding of Amlapitta and its therapeutic approaches. Through a nuanced exploration of its material and functional aspects, this article aims to enhance our understanding of Amlapitta and guidepersonalized treatment interventions in clinical practice.
