ABSTRACT
In light of the potential health risks associated with the increasing consumption of soft drinks, we conducted a comprehensive study to determine their constituents. Estimation methods included both qualitative and quantitative analysis, utilising pH meter, UV-spectrophotometer, and potentiometric titration. We aimed to compare the results with each constituent's safe and maximum allowable quantities for human consumption. Based on our findings, we were able to accurately determine the amounts of caffeine, acidity regulator, and sugar present in the soft drinks. Notably, we found that the quantitative method was more precise and accurate than the qualitative method. These test results can help ensure the safety and quality of soft drink products for human consumption and offer valuable insights to both consumers and manufacturers.
