ABSTRACT
Nanotechnology has experienced tremendous expansion in the field of study, and nanoparticles are one of its by-product. A novel form in nanotechnology materials is represented by quantum dots, which range in size from 2 to 10 nm. When stimulated by a light source, quantum dots can glow and have optical properties. These are a brand-new category of fluorescent probes designed for imaging of cells and biomolecules. Strong therapeutic substances may be delivered precisely by the use of quantum dots. Depending on the size and band gap of the particles, quantum dots (QDs) can absorb white light and generate a variety of colours. These days, quantum dots are helpful for immunoassay as well as labelling living biological material in vitro and in vivo in animals (Apart from humans) for research reasons.
